Strong and pliable 1mm wire, sold by the metre. This wire is perfect for making delicate structures for example birds' legs. You'll find it in all of our needle felting bird kits.

The wire is a rich brown colour. It's coated, so be aware that over-handling with pliers may cause some of the colour to come off.

Sold in one metre lengths. Please note that your wire will arrive coiled. When working with wire, make slow movements and twists to avoid breakage.

I purchased the felt robin kit which is really nice quality. Unfortunately as I am not experienced in using wire I was not successful in making the legs. Consequently I purchased one metre of armature wire to start again. This wire is not the same colour as the original so the robin is going to have more of an orange colour for his legs!

Good wire flexible perfect for working small items. Like birds feet. Didn’t take much to snap it but that could be because it’s only 1 mm

Thank you Stella. Yes, the 1mm wire needs to be handled carefully. Always twist or bend wire slowly to prevent it snapping.
