Strong and pliable 1.5mm wire, sold by the metre. This wire is perfect for making the armatures for larger and more detailed strutures like our Fabulous Mr Foxy, Wild Scottish Hare, and Dinky Dogs. We advise wrapping the armature with pipe cleaners for felting onto.

We buy this in various coated colours, and as it will usually be fully covered by felting wool we don't specify which colour you will receive.

Sold in one metre lengths. Please note that your wire will arrive coiled. When working with wire, make slow movements and twists to avoid breakage.

Best armature wire

I will not use any other armature wire than this. Easy to bend and cut great for large foxes

Very easy to work with

I’m new to felting so I wasn’t confident about using armature for a project. Some felters suggest floristry wire but I find that very stiff and awkward. This product though is really good. I’ll definitely be repurchasing.
